This chapter illustrated how to use and work with processes, which are now divided into dialogs and workflows in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011. We created dialogs and workflows with the CRM application interfaces as well as with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010. We learned that dialogs are synchronous and interactive processes, whereas workflows run asynchronously and they need a Windows service to run.
Process development is limitless—in fact, most organizations barely begin to take process development to the level that they could for not just sales force automation (SFA) tasks, but for alerting of almost anything.
