In this chapter, you learned about plug-ins, what they are, and when it is recommended to use them. You created a basic plug-in and reviewed all the development properties of the IServiceProvider, IExecutionContext, and the IPluginExecutionContext classes. You learned how to deploy and register the plug-ins using different tools such as the Plug-in Registration Tool with the UI. Finally, you learned how to test and debug your plug-in in different ways such as attaching the debugger to the w3wp.exe process or by forcing the add-in to launch a new debugger instance.
