Discovery Web Service

As we explained previously, Microsoft CRM 2011 has multitenancy capability, which is support for more than one organization on the same server. Because of that, you need to query a general web service called CRMDiscoveryService that will give you the right web service for the organization you want to work with. You can find the query by navigating here:

http://<serername>:<portnumber>/XRMServices/2011/Discovery.svc?wsdl

For example:

http://crm2011/XRMServices/2011/Discovery.svc?wsdl

Tip

The port number can be omitted for the default port 80 of the HTTP protocol on this sample.
