Unmanaged solutions are customizations made to the application that allow for additional editing, viewing, or exporting.
It is easiest to think of unmanaged solutions as a group of customizations. And the best feature of solutions is that we can logically group customizations (in both managed and unmanaged state), unlike in previous versions of CRM that allowed only for unmanaged customizations with no visibility to grouping.
The steps for creating an unmanaged solution are the same as previously explained for managed solutions, except that the option for Unmanaged is selected instead of Managed.
