Summary

In this chapter we have focused on the infrastructure planning phase of the Dynamics GP implementation. We discussed general concepts and scope of infrastructure planning, as well as minimum requirements and recommendations for client, server, and Terminal Server. Additional configuration considerations and requirements for networks were detailed. The meaning of official support by Microsoft, and Terminal Server only implementations were introduced. Test or development environments, add-on products, and placement of shared files were discussed. Details of data backups were talked about and we put together a sample list of additional implementation tasks.
