Logging

You can configure connectivity and protocol logging for Exchange 2010 hub transport servers. The contents of these logs can help you understand what happens when Exchange sends and receives messages. You won’t go looking for these logs on a daily basis, but they are useful whenever you need to understand why messages are not being transported as you expect. Details of logging are exposed with EMC through the Log Setting tab of the Properties dialog box for a server that has the hub or Edge transport role installed (Figure 13-23); the tab is not visible for servers that do not support one of the transport roles.
