9.1 Introduction
Exchange 2000–to–Exchange 2003 migration is a relatively straightforward process and certainly nowhere near as complicated as the migration from Exchange 5.5 to either Exchange 2000 or Exchange 2003. Moving from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003 can be achieved in one of two ways: either by performing an in-place upgrade on the Exchange 2000 server or by installing a new Exchange 2003 server in the same administrative group as the Exchange 2000 server and using the Move Mailbox Wizard to move mailboxes onto the new platform.
