Chapter 3. Modifying Graphics

In the previous chapter, you used a variety of drawing tools in Expression Blend. In this chapter, you will manipulate artwork using the Selection and Direction tools, as well as fine-tune images by making adjustments in the Properties panel.

Using Selection Tools

The two arrows at the top of the Toolbox are the Selection and Direct Selection tools (Figure 3.1). The Selection tool is the main tool for selecting, resizing, and positioning an element. The Direct Selection tool can also be used to select and position elements; however, working with paths is the strength of this tool. You can modify the positions of nodes, add curves to paths, and round the corners of nodes.
