Chapter 7. Working with Images, Video, and Audio

One of the primary reasons to use Silverlight 2 to deploy content over the Internet is to deliver media-rich experiences to your audience using media that is not easily displayed or controlled in standard HTML. In this chapter, you’ll import media files to your project and assign the media to controls that you’ve placed on the Artboard.

Media Formats

Blend supports a wide range of media file formats, as shown in Table 7.1. If you have an asset that is not in a supported format, you must use a graphics, audio, or video program to convert the asset to a supported format.
