Lync Server 2013 Sample Virtual Topologies
There are various ways you can deploy a virtual Lync Server 2013 infrastructure. This section attempts to give some sample Lync 2013 Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition deployment topologies for the reader to consider. In each deployment it is assumed that the Office Web Apps Server role is not already deployed and is required as part of the Lync virtual deployment. If there is an existing Office Web Apps server or sever pool, this requirement can be removed.
These topologies do not consider gateways or Session Border Controllers (SBCs) for PSTN access, which are usually physical devices alongside these topologies.
