Routes

Routes in Lync Server 2013 are a definition of where to send calls that match a specific dial string. Administrators define a matching pattern and a trunk or multiple trunks associated with the pattern to send a call. Each route is also associated with a PSTN usage, which is then inserted into voice policies to allow users to place calls via that route.
