Like it or not, Windows 8 is Microsoft’s answer to the growing market for tablets, providing a new user interface that spans mouse and touch, running on both Intel and ARM processors. A flagship feature of Windows 8 is the Windows Store, and the applications you can purchase from it. Windows Store applications—previously called Metro or Modern applications—sport a new, touch-friendly user interface that’s suited to a wide variety of devices.
