Automating Data Access Pages

Although data access pages run in Internet Explorer when you publish them to a Web site, you can add code to your pages to automate them similarly in forms and reports in your Access application. The programming language you’ll most commonly use is Microsoft Visual Basic Scripting (VBScript), a second cousin to the Visual Basic you use within Access.

Remember that data access pages are Web pages that use the Microsoft Office Data Source Control (MSODSC) to fetch data from your database. You can program these pages just like any other Web page, but you must create your code in a scripting language that your browser understands and embed that code within the HTML that defines the page.
