Sometimes when you create an e-mail message, you want to send along a file as well. Files sent with e-mail are called message attachments. When you send the message, the file goes along with the message so the recipient can open it on his or her computer. Outlook also allows you to insert a picture into your e-mail messages.
To insert a picture in a message, you must choose either HTML or Rich Text format for the message. Open the message into which you want to insert a picture, and then choose HTML or Rich Text from the Format group of the Options tab on the ribbon.
