Configuring Security Properties

The settings on the Security tab, shown in Figure 41-5, control whether Outlook 2007 encrypts data between the client computer and the server and how authentication is handled.

  • Encrypt Data Between Microsoft Office Outlook And Microsoft Exchange Server. Determine whether Outlook 2007 uses encryption to secure transmission between your system and the server. Select this check box to enable encryption for greater security.
