Adding Office apps to the Windows 8 taskbar

If you find yourself working with the Windows 8 desktop more than the Windows 8 Start screen, you might want to add your Office 2013 apps to the taskbar so that you can launch them easily from the desktop.

Add apps to the Windows 8 taskbar

  1. Open the Windows 8 Start screen.

  2. Scroll to the far right to display the Office app tiles.

  3. Swipe down on or right-click the app that you want to add to the taskbar.

  4. Click Pin To Taskbar.

The app will now be available on the taskbar when you display the Windows 8 desktop.
