Arranging and grouping page elements

Some designs are simple and straightforward; others are more elaborate, requiring a little design finesse. If you have numerous objects on your page, the chances are that you’ll have to deal with some overlap. You might, for example, want to position a picture slightly behind a headline, or group a picture and caption together so that text flows around them both. You can use the Arrange tools in Publisher to layer and arrange page elements just the way you want them.

Arrange objects

  1. Click the object that you want to reorder.

  2. Click the Picture Tools Format contextual tab.

  3. Choose either Bring Forward or Send Backward.
