Changing app options

The word “apps” is short for applications, and it’s the name Microsoft has adopted for the programs you launch on the Windows 8 Start screen. By default, your Windows 8 computer comes equipped with a large collection of apps, and you can find, download, and purchase any number of new apps from the Windows Store (which itself is an app on your Windows 8 Start screen). You can leave your apps on the Start screen as they are if you like them the way they appear, but you can also change the way apps appear by moving them, grouping them, naming groups, changing them from small to large (and vice versa), and changing other app settings.
