Closing files

When you’re finished with a file, closing it is a simple matter. And, if you forget to save it first, don’t worry: Office 2013 will remind you so that you can save your changes before closing the file.

Close a file

  1. With the file you want to close active on the screen, click the File tab to display the Backstage view.

  2. Click Close.
