Formatting worksheet cells

Excel 2013 makes it easy to format the data you’ve added to your worksheet cells. If you’ve entered text in the cells—for example, as row labels or column headers—you can easily use the formatting tools that you’ll find in the Font group on the Home tab to apply the formatting you want.

Format selected cells

  1. Drag to select a cell range.

  2. Click the Home tab.

  3. Use the controls in the Font, Alignment, Number, and Style groups to format the cells.
