Indenting your content

You can call attention to specific passages in your document by changing the way the text is indented. You can increase and decrease the way your text is indented by using tools in the Paragraph group of the Home tab.

Indent your content

  1. Click in the paragraph that you want to change, or, if you want to indent the entire document, press Ctrl+A.

  2. Click the Home tab.

  3. In the Paragraph group, click Increase Indent

    The selected text is moved farther away from the left edge of the page.

  4. Alternatively, click Decrease Indent to move the selection closer to the left edge of the page.
