Inserting pictures

Today’s documents just aren’t complete without a little color, a bit of art, or some good old-fashioned visual interest. In Word 2013, you can easily insert and edit photos, choose clip art or photos from online sources, draw shapes, add custom charts, and even take pictures of your screen to include in your document. The process is simple, and you can personalize it so that you can easily get to the pictures you want to use most.

Insert a picture

  1. Open a document in the Word window.

  2. Click the Insert tab.

  3. Choose Pictures.

    The Insert Picture dialog box opens.

  4. Navigate to the folder in which the picture you want to add is stored.

  5. Select the check box of the picture you want to use.
