When you install Office 2013, Setup places an Outlook 2013 icon on the Start screen (in Windows 8) or on the Start menu (in Windows 7). Starting Outlook is a simple matter of choosing it from the Start menu or clicking its icon on the Start screen. The first time Outlook starts (or if no Outlook user profile exists), you are prompted to set up an email account, and a wizard steps you through the process of connecting Outlook to your mailbox.
On the Windows 8 Start screen, click the Outlook 2013 icon.
