Modifying charts

The chart Excel 2013 adds by default—after you choose a chart type and a style you like—might be pretty close to the mark as far as you’re concerned. But, it’s good to know how to tweak charts so that they present what you’re trying to convey in a clear, unambiguous manner. You can modify your chart by choosing a different chart style or changing the type after the fact.

Choose a different chart style

  1. Click anywhere in the chart that you want to change.

  2. Click the Style button.

  3. Click the style that you want to apply.
