Signing in to Lync

The first time you start Lync, you’ll need to enter your user name and password, but if you select the Save My Password check box, Lync will log you on automatically for subsequent uses. You launch Lync from the Windows 8 Start screen (in Windows 7, you can use the Start button).

Start Lync 2013

  1. Display the Windows 8 Start screen and scroll to the far right.

  2. Click the Lync 2013 tile.

    Lync opens on your Windows 8 Desktop.

  3. Type your user ID email address in the Sign-In Address text box, if needed. Usually, after you sign in the first time, you can skip this step.
