Turning on Simple Markup

In Word 2013, the entire process of reviewing and evaluating the changes made in a shared document with Track Changes has been simplified. Thanks to a new feature called Simple Markup, you are alerted to changes with a small mark in the page margin. When you click the mark, the changes become visible and you can easily see who made the changes in your document and what changes were made.

Turn on and use Simple Markup

  1. With Track Changes turned on, make the desired changes.

  2. Click the Review tab.

  3. In the Tracking Group, click the Display For Review arrow.

    A list of tracking displays appears.

  4. Click Simple Markup.
