Using the scrollbar

Depending on the type of file you’re working with and how much you’ve zoomed in to work with the content, you might see one or two scrollbars in your Office 2013 apps. Word 2013, for example, shows a vertical scroll bar along the right side of the document window, and Microsoft Excel shows two: a vertical scrollbar and a smaller horizontal scrollbar in the lower-right corner of the window. You use the scrollbar to move through your file and display aspects of the document that are currently not visible in the app window.

Scroll the screen

  1. Click the scroll box on the vertical or horizontal scroll bar.

  2. Drag the vertical scroll box down to display additional areas of the document.
