Working with footnotes and endnotes

Once you’ve added the footnotes and endnotes to your document, you need a way to review them. You can navigate among your notes or use the Show Notes tool to display them in a dialog box in which you can click the one you want to see next.

  1. Click the References tab.

  2. In the Footnotes group, click Next Footnote.

A list of navigation options for footnotes and endnotes appears.

  3. Click your choice; Word displays the next or previous note, depending on what you selected.
