Working with headers and footers

Once you add headers and footers to your document, there’ a little bit of mastery involved in moving among them and getting them to do what you want them to do. This is especially true if you plan to change the way headers or footers appear depending on whether they’re on a right or left page; you’ll need to change a few header and footer options to pull that off.

Move among headers and footers in your document

  1. Double-click the header or footer area to display the Header & Footer Tools Design tab.

  2. In the Navigation area, click Next.

    The header or footer of the next page is displayed.
