Using MOM 2005 to Monitor SharePoint Server 2007
Microsoft has released two separate Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 SP1 Management Packs for monitoring SharePoint Server 2007. The first is specifically for Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, and it can also be used in deployments that include only Windows SharePoint Services. Note that Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 SP1 is required if you want to use these Management Packs.
If SharePoint Server 2007 has been deployed in addition to Windows SharePoint Services, both the Windows SharePoint Services and the SharePoint Server 2007 Management Packs must be used to ensure all services are monitored.
