Inserting Text, ScreenTips, and Hyperlinks

You can type new text on a page in Design view. This text is static content that SharePoint Designer saves within the Web page file. You can also choose to insert text from a file, or to copy and then paste text from a file into your Web pages. The standard Windows application shortcuts for copy, cut, paste, and undo work in SharePoint Designer, as they do in any other Microsoft program. Generally, you will want to paste the contents of a file as text and add your own formatting, because the formatting from other file formats may be verbose and may not generate the most efficient Web format.
