Adding a Web Part and Modifying Web Part Properties

Managing Web Parts in SharePoint Designer is very similar to managing Web Parts by using the browser. In the browser, when you edit a page and add a Web Part, you can choose the Advanced Web Part Gallery And Options to open the Add Web Parts tool pane. SharePoint Designer has a similar interface: the Web Parts task pane. The only difference is that, in the browser, you are presented with three galleries, whereas in SharePoint Designer, you see only two because Closed Web Parts are displayed on the page as an opaque image, instead of being listed in the Closed Gallery as they are in the browser. (A Web Part gallery is a collection of Web Parts.)
