Creating and Attaching CSS Files

By placing styles in a file, you can centrally manage those styles and apply the same styles to a number of pages. Both Windows SharePoint Services and SharePoint Server make heavy use of styles that reside in files. Earlier in this chapter, when you chose a CSS layout, SharePoint Designer created both a page and a style sheet. You can also create a new style sheet from the New Document list or from the New Style dialog box, which you can open from the Format menu, the Manage Styles and Apply Styles task panes, and the Style Application and Style toolbars.
