Testing a Site Template Solution

After you have created a site template and before you allow other users to create sites from it, you should create a site based on it. Although most customizations can be saved in the site template, some cannot. For example, custom workflows that you develop by using SharePoint Designer can be saved in a site template, but they may not work in the site created from the site template. Depending on a workflow’s complexity, you may need to redeploy the workflow, by opening it in SharePoint Designer and clicking Finish.
