Copying Lists and Libraries Between Sites

The Personal Web Package (.fwp) method can be used to move a subset of a site. You can create a .fwp file that contains an entire site and then import only a portion, or you can choose to export only a portion. When you import a list or a library, that list or library is created in the new site. You cannot simply import, for example, only the documents into a library of your own choice.

The Import and Export method look for dependencies, which you can view. By default, your dependencies, excluding links, will be included in your package. However, this method is configurable, and you can manually choose what to include and what to exclude.
