Security Considerations

Reports published to SharePoint document libraries are secured using the SharePoint permission sets. This includes user access via user roles, such as reader, member, and administrator, and the ability to lock reports down either at the site, document library, folder, or item level. Report editing capabilities are subject to end-user permission (for example, a user with read only permission will not view the Edit In Report Builder menu option from a report contextual menu within a document library, but an end-user with member role and higher will).
