Correcting Text Automatically

Word provides an exceptionally useful feature called Auto-Correct that you can use to correct common misspellings of certain words. You can also customize the AutoCorrect feature to include your own common repetitive typing errors and misspellings, and you can make AutoCorrect work even harder for you by defining special AutoCorrect entries.

Add Your Own Misspellings

  1. Right-click one of your own common misspellings, point to AutoCorrect on the shortcut menu, and choose the correct spelling from the list of suggestions that appears.
