Creating an Inline Heading

Many document designs use inline headings—that is, the first sentence (or part of the first sentence) of a paragraph is formatted as a bold or an italic subheading. An inline heading is also called a run-in heading because, unlike more prominent headings, it doesn’t have its own separate paragraph but is run in with the paragraph text. Although you can use direct formatting to create this type of heading, using a style will provide consistency for all the headings of this type throughout your document.
