Customizing a Table Layout

A Word table can be more than just a grid of equally sized rows and columns. You can change the width of columns or the height of rows, for example, or draw new cell boundaries and erase old ones. Word gives you a great deal of flexibility in the layout of your table.

Change the Table Size

  1. In Print Layout view, move the mouse pointer over the table to make the Size box appear.

  2. Drag the Size box to change the size of the table.
