Reorganizing a Document

Outline view provides a powerful way for you to view the structure of your document and to rearrange the order of presentation of the topics in the document. The outline structure assumes that you’ve used specific heading and body styles to organize your document into a hierarchy of topics and subtopics.

View the Document’s Outline

  1. Click the Outline View button at the bottom-right of your screen to switch to Outline view.

  2. On the Outlining tab, specify the lowest level of heading to be displayed.
