Checking the Compatibility

The Word 2007 format and some of its features aren’t fully compatible with earlier versions of Word. Although people running earlier versions of Word will be able to open a Word 2007 file using a converter (provided they’ve installed it), some features and content might be changed or lost. To see which Word 2007 features aren’t fully compatible and will be changed or lost, run the Word Compatibility Checker before you distribute the document.
