Microsoft Word 2007 provides templates that are useful for many different purposes. However, they’re generic templates that might not include every element you need. If you use a particular template frequently, you can create a highly personalized document—and save lots of time—by creating a new, customized template based on the existing template.
Choose New from the Office menu to display the New Document dialog box.
Click either Installed Templates or My Templates.
Click the template you want to modify.
