Hyper-V (without VMM) replication to Azure

Once the preceding steps for preparing the Azure fabric and on-premise Hyper-V infrastructure are complete, continue with the following steps in Azure:

  1. Navigate to the Azure Portal (https://portal.azure.com) and sign in
  2. In the Azure Portal, type Recovery Services in the Search resources search field and select Recovery Services vaults
  3. Select and click the vault name to work in
  4. In Getting Started, click Site Recovery and then click Prepare Infrastructure 

Prepare Infrastructure – Protection Goal

  1. In Protection goal, for Where are your machines located?, select On-premises
  2. In Where do you want to replicate your machines to?, select To Azure
  3. In Are your machines virtualized?, select Yes, with Hyper-V ...
