Formatting Text

To make simple text-formatting changes—altering the size, font, or style of title text, for example—you need to leave the charting component on the ribbon and return to the Home tab. Then, select the chart text you want to format, and click commands in the Font group on the ribbon, just as you do when you are tailoring ordinary worksheet text.

Of course, if you want exotic text formatting, that’s another matter. Select your text, click the Format tab (under Chart Tools), and then make your selections from the WordArt Styles group on the ribbon.
