The “C:\Logs” partition of 4 GB is reserved to store the IIS and event
log files. Locating these files in a particular partition will prevent your server
from being down as a result of a denial-of-service attack, which has the aim
of filling up your system drive and preventing the system from operating
correctly. This shouldn’t prevent you from having a solid garbage collection
policy on your servers for these event and application logs.
The Z: partition is for the pagefile and solely for the page file. You may
need to reserve some space on the boot partition for the location of the
memory dump, but ...
