1.4 Performance Improvements
From a performance perspective, the Microsoft Exchange 2000 architecture
and the Exchange 2003 follow-on release made improvements, sometimes
imperceptible to the end user. The improvements are major from Exchange
5.5, although there hasn’t been any “apples-to-apples” comparison between
the two architectures.
Microsoft Exchange 2003 has better performance in its ability to handle
a larger amount of traffic and manage larger quantities of data (which I
