1.6 The STORE Process
The STORE process (I often call it the Information Store) is the heart of
Microsoft Exchange. It facilitates mailbox and public information storage as
well as MAPI RPC connection handling.
Figure 1.11 describes the STORE process from a fairly high-level view.
The STORE main components include:
Internet protocol stubs are used to communicate through a shared
memory and the asynchronous queue mechanism (called the Epoxy
layer), along with the INETINFO process, which handles the Inter-
net protocol communications.
