When you create a storage group, you have to complete a couple of text
fields that make up the visible properties of the storage group, as shown in
Figure 2.15. The most important field is the location of the transaction
log. This area must point to a volume, and a folder in that volume will
host the transaction log files for the storage group databases. From a purely
performance perspective, you want a volume that provides fast, indeed
very fast, write access performance (5-ms response time ...
