Creating a Standard Dimension

You must use the Dimension Wizard to create the initial structure of a dimension. As you work through the steps of the wizard, you will select the data source tables, the key attribute, and other attributes that you want to include in the dimension. You will also use the wizard to configure some of the more important attribute properties. However, in most cases the dimension design will not be complete. After you have completed the initial dimension design using the wizard, you will frequently use the Dimension Designer to further enhance your dimension.
