Using the Cube Designer to Modify a Cube

When you create a cube using the Cube Wizard, you select the data source view and fact tables that contain the source data, choose the measure groups and measures to include in the cube, select the dimensions for the cube, and provide a name for the cube. You will need to further enhance the cube using the Cube Designer.

The Cube Designer lets you configure properties for the cube, measure groups, measures, and cube dimensions. You can add or delete measure groups and measures and create calculation formulas. You can also add dimensions to your cube and modify the relationship between measure groups and dimensions.
